Random question, do independent garages in Abu Dhabi use genuine Audi parts or aftermarket?
I've been curious about this for a while now. My warranty is expiring soon and I'm weighing up whether to stick with the dealer or switch to an independent workshop. The dealer obviously uses genuine parts but the prices are getting ridiculous for simple stuff. A guy I know told me he uses Exotic Auto Services (https://exoticautoservices.ae/) for his RS5 and swears the parts are genuine, but I'm the kind of person who likes to verify things rather than just take someone's word for it. Does anyone actually know how these independent garages source their parts? Is there a way to check before agreeing to the work? I don't want to find out six months later that something cheap was thrown in and now I've got a bigger problem. Also curious if using non dealer parts affects resale value here in the UAE.
