Bird droppings etched into my bonnet, can this be fixed?

Parked under a tree for like two days last week and came back to a mess on my bonnet. Washed it off same day but there are these faint dull spots left behind that won't come out no matter what I try. Did some reading and apparently bird droppings are acidic and can etch into the clear coat if left too long. My car is dark grey so it's really noticeable in the sun. I tried a clay bar and polish by hand which helped a tiny bit but they're still there. Someone mentioned exoticcarcare.ae does paint correction work and might be able to wet sand or machine polish it out properly. Before I go down that route, is this something that can actually be fixed or am I looking at a respray? Has anyone dealt with etching before and how did it turn out?
