Is a 30 minute MINI brake check on a lunch break actually possible?

I want to try something a bit different this week and see if it can work. I have a 2019 MINI Countryman with about 52,000 kilometers, and for a few days now the brakes have been making a soft grinding noise when I stop at the office gate. It is not loud, just enough that the security guard looked at me once. My problem is that my schedule is packed, and the only free time I get is a lunch break of around forty five minutes. My manager is strict about leaving, so taking half a day off is not something I want to ask for. A colleague told me that a brake check is just looking at the wheels, so it should take ten minutes. Another colleague said no, they remove the wheels, measure the pads and discs, and test the fluid, so it takes at least an hour even before they change anything. I do not know who is right. I read a page from a workshop in Dubai about MINI brakes, and it explained that the pads, discs and sensor all wear together, and that the check is more than a quick look. That made me think my colleague with the longer answer is closer to the truth. Still, I typed Quick MINI Cooper brake service in Dubai into my phone, mostly to see if a short inspection is even a thing, or if it is just a way to get you in the door and then tell you everything needs changing. So here is what I want to know. Is it better to book a check first and then come back for the repair, or do the pads usually get changed on the same visit if the parts are in stock? Do they tell you the thickness of the pads in numbers, or just say they are low? Should I ask for a photo of the worn parts? Also, if I drive a few more days with this noise, could it damage the discs? I do about twenty minutes of highway each day, so I worry a little. If anyone has done a fast brake visit on a MINI, tell me how long it really took and whether you felt rushed. Thanks everyone.
